This was one of my very first photo shoots. I had wanted to start my career of shooting nudes but needed a model. I figured the local strip club might be a good place to find someone comfortable with nudity so I could spend my time practicing with lighting and the camera without having to worry as much about the model.

When I saw Ska at the local club, she completely blew me away. I had only been to a strip club once before and that was only a few weeks before this time. I still remember her performance, done to the Diva's song in the movie The Fifth Element. Her dance mimicked the mood of the music, starting slow and sensual, and then switching to higher energy when the song tempo changes suddenly. She was amazingly beautiful and graceful, not at all what my preconceived notions of strip clubs told me I'd find. I was very pleased when she agreed come to a photo shoot a few months later.
